The area of Bolzano and surroundings goes along the Alto Adige Wine Road through the olive village of Cortaccia/Kurtatsch and the wine villages of Termeno/Tramin, Caldaro/Kaltern and Appiano/Eppan, to the Val Sarentino/Sarntal and the high plateau of Renon. This sunny region is known for its Mediterranean climate that allows the growth of numerous vines, palms, cypresses and some olive trees. The Corno Bianco/Weißhorn, the Corno Nero/Schwarzhorn, the Costiera della Mendola/Mendelgebirge, the Salto/Salten and the famous Bletterbach Gorge, a canyon from the Ice Age, guarantee fun for the whole family.

The provincial capital of Bolzano, which can be reached by car in a few minutes, also offers a variety of cultural attractions and sights such as museums, castles, sacred buildings and many events. The most famous museum in the city is the Ötzi Museum, which houses the world-famous men from the ice.
